Medisoft Systems Requirements

Attention Windows XP / Windows Vista Users!

Microsoft ended support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. This means that no further updates, patches, or security fixes for Windows XP are being released. This leaves your computer extremely vulnerable to attack!
That means that Windows XP is no longer HIPAA compliant! MPM recommends that all clients still using Windows XP computers begin the process of upgrading their hardware NOW. MPM recommends Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8.1 Professional
McKesson Products Are No Longer Supported On Windows XP or Windows Vista!!

16-bit Color Display (minimum 1024×768 resolution)
DVD-ROM Drive or Broadband Internet (for installation)
100 Mbps Wired Ethernet (wireless ethernet is not supported)
An Active Internet Connection is REQUIRED

Important Notes About Anti-Virus Software!

Lately, there have been a number of security software products that interfere and conflict with Medisoft Products. Using such products can cause numerous issues ranging from slowness and errors up to data corruption and data loss.
While MPM does recommend using a good anti-virus product on all machines, care must be given to choosing the correct product and properly configuring it. If you are at all unsure, please contact MPM for assistance in choosing the correct product.

Known Conflicting Products (MPM will NOT support you if you are using these products):
ESET NOD32
Kaspersky Internet Security / Anti Virus
Norton 360
Any Product containing a firewall
Barely meeting the minimum requirements may affect performance. You may encounter poor performance, lag, longer load/save times, etc. McKesson develops and tests off of the most current release of the above mentioned operating systems. Recommendations are for the most current releases.
